    If you're comfortable with linux or installing operating systems this laptop is for you. My e520 wouldn't boot up with the Linpus Linux installed (why it lost a star) so I went immediately to installing winxp pro on it. First you must go into the bios (F2) and change the hard drive to IDE mode from AHCI. After that installing winxp was a breeze. The laptop did come with a resource DVD that has all the necessary drivers etc. Everything works and all for the bargain price of $340. My e520 came with a 160GB Western Digital hard drive not the 120GB. Nice surpise there! The laptop is not heavy for a 15.4" and the battery lasts over 2 hours doing basic surfing/playing movies etc. The screen is bright, no flaws, and the keyboard is excellent for touchtyping.
